D'ART DMT Embossed Toilet Paper Technique Challenge!

Howzit Dominoians,
It's time for June's DominoART Monthly Technique Challenge and this is a super cool one especially if you're into thrifty crafting ;0)
I'm hosting the Blockheads Paper Arts Technique Challenge this month and it's called the Handmade Embossed Toilet Paper Technique so of course I had to put my DominoART twist on it too and now I challenge you all to do the same!

June's DMT is making your own embossed paper with just toilet paper, an embossing folder and water!  The results are really quite fabulous and soooo much fun :0)  Check out my detailed tutorial with photos here.  I hope you'll give this one a try and enter the Blockheads ETP Challenge for a chance to win some awesome prizes!  You can enter the challenge with a paper project but I sure would love to see some altered game art using this technique too!  Submit your projects to the Blockheads Blog Hop via the inlinkz button below or post them on Blockheads Facebook group.  If you don't want to play in the challenge then that's okay too but please share your creations on the DominoART Yahoo group or on the DominoART Facebook page.

The Prizes:
Blockheads Blog Hop prize is a $25 gift certificate!
Blockheads Facebook group prize is your choice of a 4" x 5" set of Blockheads' stamps cut on cling cushion!

Here's my DominoART version of the technique and you can also check out the two cards I made by clicking on the thumbnails in the inlinkz section below.

and then make something like this with your new ETP!
I used one of the smaller Art Deco embossing folders by Cuttlebug to make my ETP and cut it down to fit a square domino.

Apply Rose Coral ColorBox Fluid Chalk ink and New Sprout Memento ink by dabbing the ink pads directly onto the embossed design and allowing the inks to bleed.  Spritz with Smooch Vanilla to add a wonderful shimmer.

Apply Adirondack Gold Mixative Alcohol Ink to some of the embossed areas and to the edges of the ETP with a Q-Tip or paint brush.  Prepare a square domino or any other game tile by edging and colouring the sides with a gold paint pen.  Adhere the ETP to the domino surface with craft glue or Judikins Diamond Glaze.  Allow the glue to seep out along the edges, this helps stop the cut ETP layers from peeling apart.

Add embellishments like charms and bling to jazz up your piece and apply a sealer to protect the surface.  A coat of Diamond Glaze or Krylon Spray sealers would be a good idea.  You could then turn your finished piece into a pendant, magnet or brooch or even add it to something else like a card, a tag or even the cover of an altered book!

I'm really looking forward to seeing what you all come up with so please come and play with us :0)
