Day 12 and Finale: KRAMPUS!

Welcome back for Day 11 of

We have been counting down to Christmas Smeared Ink style with our annual 12 Days of Creepmas blog hop!  What a freaktastic hop we have had!  A big THANK YOU to Smeared Ink for hosting this hop for us and I hope we do it again in 2016!  Congrats Jolly Bloggers for all your fab creations this year and thank you for hopping with me and leaving your wonderful comments, I truly appreciate them!

Now for my Day 12 finale project!  Only 2 more sleeps and then Krampus is here EEEEEEEK!

KRAMPUS!

Today's domino features "You Want WHAT???" by Rick St Dennis.  Isn't he the perfect Krampus!
This is the only digi stamp I have used throughout the 12 Days of Creepmas, the rest were all stamped and coloured with Sharpies, this one was printed out and coloured with Copics and adhered to the domino.  I then completed it by edging the domino and colouring the sides with a DecoColor metallic silver paint pen and embellished with a gold metallic wired ribbon bow, 3 little red holly berries, a snowflake and crystal Stickles glitter glue for some magic sparkle.   All 12 of my dominoes are sealed with Judikins Diamond Glaze.

Now for the grand reveal of what I've been doing with all these dominoes!  Ta-Daaaaa!
It's a 12 Days of Creepmas Wreath ;0)

Each domino has black wire adhered to the back for easy tying.  I also embellished the wreath with a few poinsettias (Cherry Lynn die) and draped string lights around it!  I love how it turned out!

Here's a view of it on my wall in my Creepmas display along with my Monster High ice sprites, my Lady Malicent de Winter (22" Tonner American Model Goth doll) and one of my painted Ceramic Christmas ornaments...ceramics is another one of my passions and I'm a certified Gare instructor.  That beautiful reindeer card was made by my Mom, Val S, who is also a Jolly Blogger this year ;0)

Well that's it from me, you've got 2 more stops on the hop, off you go to Lady B!!

Thanks for visiting with me, I hope you've enjoyed the show!
Happy Holidays and Merry Creepmas!

Day 11: Merry Creepmas!

Welcome back for Day 11 of

We are counting down to Christmas Smeared Ink style with our annual 12 Days of Creepmas blog hop!  What a freaktastic hop we are having and sadly it's nearly over, just one more day to go but then that means Santa isn't far behind YIPPIE!  If you've missed all the fun then start the hop on Dec 1st and hop your way through the Jolly Bloggers blog roll over there in my right sidebar, you've got lots of creeptastic Christmas themed projects to look at!

Thank you so much for hopping with me and leaving me your lovely comments ;0)

Now for my Day 11 project!

Merry Creepmas!
an altered domino that could be a tree ornament, a magnet or a pendant, but it isn't...so have my previous clues given the game away?  One final clue coz sadly today is the 2nd to last day of this fab hop!  Clue #4 it can hang on a wall or a door!
Update:  YES!  It is a wreath, well done to those who figured it out teehee :0), you'll see pix of my entire project on Day 12!

Today's domino is a combination of two Tim Holtz - Stamper's Anonymous ATC collage stamps:  "Reindeer Games" and "X-Ray".  I first stamped "Reindeer Games" with red StazOn and then over stamped "X-Ray" in black.  I removed portions of the combined collage with an old Marvy Le Plume alcohol colourless blending marker and altered the 2nd part of the word "Christmas" and turned it into "Creepmas" with a red Sharpie marker.  I added various shades of blue Sharpie to the web area and drew a Santa Hat on Skellie's head...he's very chuffed with it and thinking of giving Jack Skellington a run for his money!  I edged the domino with a DecoColor metallic silver paint pen and coloured the sides too.  I finished off the piece with a gold metallic wired ribbon bow, a snowflake and added crystal Stickles glitter glue for some magic sparkle.

Just a few more stops on the hop for you today, now off you go to Lady B!!

Thanks for visiting with me, see you again for the finale on Dec 23rd!

Shocking Good Fun!
an altered domino that could be a tree ornament, a magnet or a pendant, but it isn't...Clue #1 was PRICKLY and clue #2 was it's ROUND...now for clue #3 it's BLACK ;0) Who can guess what I'm doing with all these dominoes?

I couldn't resist using my fave Grumpie again for this one!  I stamped the Smeared Ink Christmas Grumpie from the Occasions Grumpie rubber stamp set onto the white domino with jet black StazOn ink and after heat setting I coloured him with various Sharpie markers in my signature Sharpie Domino Queen style.  I edged the domino with a DecoColor metallic silver paint pen and coloured the sides too.  I finished off the piece with a gold metallic wired ribbon bow tied around an old Xmas fairy light, a snowflake and added crystal Stickles glitter glue to his hat, the light's wire and the snowflake for some magic sparkle.

Just a few more stops on the hop for you today, now off you go to Lady B!!

Now for my Day 9 project!

Creepmas Tree!
an altered domino that could be a tree ornament, a magnet or a pendant, but it isn't...need another clue?  Clue #1 was it's PRICKLY and #2 is its ROUND ;0)

Today's altered domino features Smeared Ink's Creepmas Tree from the Gothic Christmas rubber stamp set as well as a single snowflake by All Night Media.  I created this one the same way as my previous 8 by stamping with black StazOn ink and coloured with Sharpies after heat setting.  I then edged the domino with a DecoColor metallic silver paint pen and coloured the sides too and finished off with a metallic gold wired ribbon bow, a snowflake and added crystal Stickles glitter glue for some magic sparkle.

Now for my Day 8 project!

Skellie Snowman!
an altered domino that could be a tree ornament, a magnet or a pendant, but it isn't...figured out what I'm up to yet? ;0)

I had you running for your lives from killer Snowmen on Day 7 but today's Skellie Snowman seems friendly, maybe!  I'd still BEWARE if I were you!

I had an absolute blast assembling this cutie!  I used two of Carmen's Veranda stamps to create my very own skellie snowman by stamping the head of the Snowman and then masking and stamping the skellie body from the Winged Skeleton.  I'm totally thrilled with how he turned out!

Just like my previous 7 altered dominoes, I stamped with black StazOn ink, coloured with Sharpies after heat setting and edged the domino with a DecoColor metallic silver paint pen and coloured the sides too.  I finished off the piece with a metallic gold wired ribbon bow, a mother-of-pearl snowflake for a heart and added crystal Stickles glitter glue for some magic sparkle.

Just a few more stops on the hop for you today, now off you go to Lady B!!

Welcome back for Day 7 of

Thank you so much for hopping with me and leaving me your lovely comments ;0)

Now for my Day 7 project!

Fear the Walking Dead Snowmen!
an altered domino that could be a tree ornament, a magnet or a pendant, but it isn't...did yesterday's clue give the game away? ;0)

Eeeeeek!!!  It's a Snowman Apocalypse!  Run for your lives!  Daryl is doing his best to take out this killer snowman with a few well placed arrows!  These guys move faster than Zombies with all that ice around and he had difficulty getting a head shot.... but, will that stop a Snowman, do they have brains?

This scary snowman is another one from the Rick St Dennis rubber stamp set he designed for Smeared Ink (FYI:  the rubber is no longer available from SI though).  Just like my previous 6 altered dominoes, I stamped with black StazOn ink, coloured with Sharpies after heat setting and edged the domino with a DecoColor metallic silver paint pen and coloured the sides too.  I finished off the piece with a metallic gold wired ribbon bow, a snowflake and added crystal Stickles glitter glue for some magic sparkle.

Just a few more stops on the hop for you today, now off you go to Lady B!!

Day 6: Skellie Reindeers Dream of Sugar Plum Snowflakes + DominoART Challenge Winter Wonderland reminder!

Welcome back for Day 6 of

We are counting down to Christmas in Smeared Ink style with our annual 12 Days of Creepmas blog hop and are now officially half way!  What a freaktastic hop we are having!  Stop by every 2nd day throughout December and hop your way through the Jolly Bloggers blog roll over there in my right sidebar.  You will want to stick around and feast your eyeballs on all the creeptastic Christmas themed projects!

Thank you so much for hopping with me and leaving me your lovely comments ;0)

Now for my Day 6 project!
Happy Smeared Ink Friday and as it's Friday this is also my reminder post about DominoART's current Challenge - #17 Winter Wonderland, come and join the fun, Creepmas projects are totally welcome too!

Skellie Reindeers Dream of Sugar Plum Snowflakes!
an altered domino that could be a tree ornament, a magnet or a pendant, but it isn't...okay...how about a clue as to what I'm doing with these dominoes...it's PRICKLY teehee ;0)

Today's altered domino is a skellie reindeer skull dreaming happily about pink sugar plum snowflakes!
For this one I did what I shall call reverse masking...I stamped Tim Holtz - Stampers Anonymous ATC "Reindeer Games" Christmas collage rubber stamp in red StazOn ink and directly over it I stamped Smeared Ink's skellie Reindeer from the Gothic Christmas rubber set.  I then carefully removed the parts of both images I didn't want with an old Marvy Le Plume colourless blender alcohol marker.  You can use a Copic one too, it doesn't damage the marker nib, just stains it whatever colour ink you're removing!  I then coloured with Sharpies after heat setting and edged the domino with a DecoColor metallic silver paint pen and coloured the sides too.  I finished off the piece with a metallic gold wired ribbon bow, a snowflake and added crystal Stickles glitter glue for some magic sparkle.

Just a few more stops on the hop for you today, now off you go to Lady B!!

Now for my Day 5 project!

Have Yourself a Joyful Creepmas!
an altered domino that could be a tree ornament, a magnet or a pendant, but it isn't...guessed yet...giggle ;0)

Today's altered domino is a skellie skull that has escaped the pile of bones to have himself a very Joyful Creepmas!  I really enjoy using portions of large stamps on my altered dominoes and this one is just a smidgen from the Carmen's Veranda Skulls and Bones background stamp.  I used a randomly torn piece of scrap paper as a mask and inked up the section I wanted to use with black StazOn, removed the paper and pressed the domino onto the stamp.  I then masked the stamped portion of the domino, inked up the JOY from the Lost Coast Designs Harmony Peace Joy Freedom Dictionary set with red StazOn ink and stamped the rest of the domino with it.  Like I mentioned before, this red is really pink so after heat setting I coloured with Sharpies and did the JOY in red and left the bit of pink showing.  I then edged the domino with a DecoColor metallic silver paint pen and coloured the sides too.  I finished off the piece with a metallic gold wired ribbon bow, a snowflake and added crystal Stickles glitter glue to the text and the snowflake for some magic sparkle.

Now for my Day 4 project!

All in a Tangle!
an altered domino that could be a tree ornament, a magnet or a pendant, but it isn't...guessed yet...giggle ;0)

My lil Grumpie got himself all tangled up in the tree lights while chasing Ho Ho Poe around the tree trying to get his Santa hat back!  As you can see, he's very pleased he got his hat but he's really got himself in quite a pickle!

I finished off the piece with a gold metallic wired ribbon bow tied around an old fairy light...yes, I just can't throw anything away LOL, a snowflake and added crystal Stickles glitter glue to his hat, the light's wire and the snowflake for some magic sparkle.

Day 3: Decorating the Tree!

Welcome back for Day 3 of

Thank you for your compliments on my poor snowman with a headache, I truly appreciate your comments ;0)

Now for Day 3

Decorating the Tree!
an altered domino that could be a tree ornament, a magnet or a pendant, but it isn't...how about a little clue...nah, maybe next time....bwahahahahahah ;0)

The tree is up and decorated with all sorts of creepy ornaments and a pretty snowflake thrown in for good measure!

This domino is a combination of one of Tim Holtz - Stampers Anonymous ATC "Reindeer Games"  Christmas collage rubber stamps and Smeared Ink's Creepmas Tree from the Gothic Christmas rubber stamp set.  I stamped the Tim stamp 1st with red StazOn and coloured over the word "Christmas" with a red Sharpie marker.  I'm really not a fan of this ink pad because its not a true red and comes out pink on dominoes so you'll see some pink in there.  I then stamped the tree with Jet Black StazOn ink and after heat setting I coloured the skull and added some icy blue to areas of the background.  I edged the domino with a DecoColor metallic silver paint pen and coloured the sides too.  I finished off the piece with a gold metallic wired ribbon bow, a snowflake and added crystal Stickles glitter glue for some magic sparkle.

Thank you for the lovely compliments on my Ho Ho Poe...he is quite chuffed you loved him so much ;0)

Just a Mild Headache
an altered domino that could be a tree ornament, a magnet or a pendant, but it isn't...any guesses as to what I'm up to this year? teehee ;0)

This poor dude has a bit of a headache and gone a frightful shade of purple, brain freeze will do that you know, but, I do have a sneaky suspicion that it might have something to do with that axe sticking out of his head...just saying ;0)

This scary snowman is a Rick St Dennis rubber stamp designed for Smeared Ink.  I stamped him with Jet Black StazOn ink onto a white domino and after heat setting I coloured him with various Sharpie markers in my signature Sharpie Domino Queen style.  I edged the domino with a DecoColor metallic silver paint pen and coloured the sides too.  I finished off the piece with a gold metallic wired ribbon bow, a snowflake and added crystal Stickles glitter glue to the snowman, his scarf and the snowflake for some magic sparkle.

Day 1: 12 Days of Creepmas Blog Hop "Ho Ho Poe" domino by Leigh

Howzit Dominoians!

It's time for the 2nd most anticipated Smeared Ink blog hop of the year, 31 Days of Halloween being #1.... Ho Ho Poe, it's 12 Days of Creepmas time and this year I'm playing as a Jolly Blogger here on DominoART!

Stop by every 2nd day throughout December and hop your way through the 12 Days of Creepmas blog roll below.  The blog roll will also remain in my sidebar over there on the right so stick around and feast your eyeballs on some creepy, dark and twisty Christmas themed projects!

What's Creepmas you ask...well you see, Creepmas crawled into existence when the stores insisted on putting the Christmas decorations out right next to the Halloween decorations.  Of course, us strange folk got a mad twinkle in our eyes at the sight of pretty tinsel right next to the bats and witches and the wicked collaboration was born!  The cherry on the top this year is the upcoming movie, Krampus, EEEEEEK! I can't wait LOL ;0)

Ok, now for my Day 1 project!
Ho Ho Poe
an altered domino that could be a tree ornament, a magnet or a pendant, but it isn't and you'll just have to wait and see what I'm doing with it...bwahahahahahah ;0)

This is also one of my Smeared Ink DT projects over on our Smudgy Antics Challenge blog!  Our December challenge started today and is as always "Anything Goes" with a twist and this month it's Creepmas!

I used 2 Smeared Ink rubber stamps on this one, Poe from the Quoth the Raven set and the santa hat was stolen from a very miffed Christmas Grumpie from the Occasions Grumpie set.  I stamped the Santa hat, masked it and then stamped Poe with black StazOn ink.  After heat setting I coloured him with various Sharpie markers in gray, red, green and blues.  I coloured his shirt red and green to look more like a scarf but you can't see the red coz its under the bow.  I edged the domino with DecoColor metallic silver and coloured the sides too.  I finished off the piece with a gold metallic wired ribbon bow and snowflakes and added crystal Stickles glitter glue for some magic sparkle.

Just a few more stops on the hop for you today, now off you go to Lady B!
