"Poe Key" Smudgy Antics Challenge + Smeared Ink news!

Happy Monday Dominoians, I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!
We're now entering the 2nd week of our current Smudgy Antics Challenge so pop on over and enter if you haven't had chance yet to be in the running for 2 fab little prizes!

AUGUST 2015  '' ANYTHING GOES...WITH AN OPTIONAL TWIST''
The TWIST this month is
'' CREEPY CREATURES''

Plus, some awesome news, Smeared Ink is BACK with a whole new website and blog, YAY!  Stop by and check out their whole new look HERE!

My DT share is in celebration of Poe, the master of macabre....and yes, I do consider him a Creepy Creature LOL!
I made a "Poe Key....to unlock your dark side" using Smeared Ink's Poe and quote from the Quoth the Raven rubber set, a key and 2 altered Pairs in Pears game tiles.  A really cool way to jazz up your boring keys!

To alter the game tiles I first applied Platinum Planet metallic silver Brilliance ink to the blank side of one and the letter side of the second, of course I chose P for Poe.  I heat set the ink before stamping the image of Poe and the quote in black StazOn ink and heat set again.  I then edged and coloured the sides and the opposite sides of each piece with DecoColor Liquid Silver paint pen and spray sealed them with Krylon Artists Workable Fixative and gloss sealer.  I completed my project by sandwiching the key between the 2 tiles with E6000 adhesive.

Challenges entered:
Dream in Darkness challenge #4
The Artistic Stamper - August Anything Goes
Ikesworld challenge #43 - all about the night
Anything But a Card #50 Celebration
Create and Inspire challenge 26

"Magic Bubbles" Domino Pendant - Circles Challenge at LCPtoC

Howzit Dominoians!
The new Lost Coast Portal to Creativity challenge started today, #15 is Circles.
Here's my DT share, I created an altered domino pendant using Lost Coast Designs Bubbles Border stamp.

I stamped the bubbles with black StazOn ink and coloured them with a combination of Bic pigment markers and tiny dashes of Alcohol Ink blending solution and the smaller bubbles are coloured with metallic Promarkers.  To give the pendant a huge dash of magic I applied Viva Pearl Magic Transparent White to every single dot for that fabulous dimensional sparkle!  I coloured the edges and sides of the domino with a metallic DecoColor Liquid Gold paint pen and adhered a pendant bail to the back with E6000 glue and hung the domino on a turquoise suede cord necklace.

Come and join us over at Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and Stay to Play!  See you there :0)
