Day 12: Finale Double-sided Creepmas Playing Card Tree Ornament by Leigh S-B & Voting Begins!

To close our festivities for the year here's my finale project featuring a stunning new image by Delicious Doodles called Holly Sugar Skull

Supplies
2 x tall & narrow novelty playing cards - I used the 2 of Diamonds and 5 of Clubs for "Dec 25th"
Cuttlebug Christmas Embossing Folder
Metallic Rub-On Creme
Copic Markers
Tea Dye and Black Soot Distress Ink
Stickles Diamond Glitter Glue
DecoColor Liquid Gold paint pen
empty Painter's Tape cardboard roll from my stash
Red Ribbon
Gold cord
Paper Holly and Holly berries from my stash
White paper
Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
Double sided sticky tape
Permanent Glue Dots
Sandpaper

 I printed the image twice on white paper, coloured with Copics and cut out both just about 1/4" larger than the empty Painter's Tape inner cardboard roll.  I poked a hole through the top edge with an awl and threaded the gold cord through so the ornament can hang.  I adhered the images onto both sides of the roll and cut the overhanging edges into little notches and adhered the flaps to the roll with double-sided tape.  I applied the Distress Inks to the image and edged the roll with a metallic gold paint pen.  Then ran the two playing cards through my Cuttlebug and embossed snowflakes and a Christmas sentiment onto them, lightly sanded the embossed designs and applied metallic rub-on creme.  Both playing cards were then adhered to the roll with double-sided tape.  I made two bows with red ribbon and embellished the top with the bows, paper holly and metal berries from my stash (all adhered with glue dots).  I finished off by adding Diamond glitter glue to all the berries and blue flowers on both sides of the ornament.
