Day 23: 'Eeeeeek......A Spider!' by Barb B

Hello my dear Wicked Bloggers and Followers!

Boohoo, our spooktacular 31 Days of Halloween is nearly over but the DominoART fun will be continuing with a magical new event ;0)

You are never too 'grown up' to feel the magic and wonder of Christmas so this year I'm starting a new DominoART tradition - the 24 Days of Christmas Countdown Festival!

Let's celebrate Christmas DominoART style with magical creations for 24 Days straight and countdown the arrival of Santa! There will be prizes up for grabs and the Sponsors will be announced soon!
24 Days of Christmas starts Dec 1 and ends Dec 24
Taking signs up now!
There's a PAGE with all the details but the formatting on the list won't stay put so I'm going to start creating the players list in the sidebar this week.
Email me to grab the Day(s) you'd like to create either a Christmas or Winter themed altered game art project for and you can have more than one day if you love Christmas as much as me ;0)
Now for today's fang-tastic 31 Days of Halloween project!
Barb B, my fellow Blockheads DT mate, joins us again today for Day 23 with a frightfully creepy crawling creation that MOVES eeeeeeek ;0)

Stamps used are by Penny Black (spider) and Third Coast Designs (Pumpkin Princess).

I call this a slider card. The spider can slide up and down the cord - fun for kids to play with.

The princess was stamped using Jet Black StazOn and was colored in using a Dove blender pen and Distress Inks. I used Chrystal Stickles on the fringe of her hat. I sponged blue ink onto the cardstock to make the sky.

For the domino, I used a wooden bamboo domino again. I sponged on StazOn Cotton White Ink and a bit of Brushed Pewter Distress Stain. Then I stamped the image using Jet Black StazOn. I went over the spider web with a metallic silver gel pen and colored in the spider using a bright green sharpie. I also added Chrystal Stickles to the spider.

I threaded the silver cord through the holes in the domino and attached it all by gluing the cord ends to the back of the cardstock.

See you tomorrow for Day 24 of 31 Days of Halloween and don't forget to visit all the blogs in the Smeared and Smudged 31 Days of Halloween blog hop for the chance to win lots of SAS prizes!!  I've already won 4 Scavenger Hunt prizes and I'm over the moon with glee ;0)  See Terra's blog if you're late to the freak show!

Happy Haunting and Domino Hugs!

  10. Brilliant creation! Fun and interactive. I just think it's so cool that you can move the domino down to touch the princess' foot. Makes me giggle. Wonderfully crafted!
